Story of an Engineer...........
An ENGINEER was working for a CONTRACTOR whose business is Constructing Houses. The Engineer was very reliable and hard working person. His Skills, Quality and commitment helped the Contractor in creating wealth and fame in the Society. The Contractor was impressed a lot and made him In-Charge for all, and made him One Point Contact for every thing. The engineer was receiving a very good salary package with all facilities. After working for 10 years, the Engineer wanted to quit the job with an intention to start his own business. He told his employer-contractor about his plans to leave the firm. The Contractor was sorry to hear that and unable to swallow the news. He was not ready to loose this Engineer and offered him a 50 % share in his firm. The Engineer did not accept the offer and wanted to quit as early as possible. Then the contracted requested him to continue for some more time and asked him to construct a last House for him as a Personal favor. Though the Engineer said YES, his commitment has not come from his heart. He started spending more time on his personal Business Project and some how managed to complete the House for the Contractor. He has not shown the quality Workmanship and used Inferior Materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated Career. When the Engineer finished his work the Employer came to see the House. The Contractor never had a doubt about the Quality and commitment of the Engineer during his tenure. Then as a surprise, the Contractor handed over the Front Door Key to the Engineer and said “This is your House. It is my Gift to you for the quality services rendered by you”. The Engineer was SHOCKED! .If it was known to him that he was building his OWN HOUSE, he would have done it all so differently.
